I finally figured it out.

Finally I figured it out. Tinkered my blog today without an IT expert, and here I am now. Typing. So many words in my mind but I have to take this slowly. As you can see my blog is back in blogspot. This domain renewal thing is killing me, pressing my brain painfully. I just can't go to the renewal page. tsk.

Anyway, let the problem be the problem whatever it is. I have to move on. In the coming days my blog will be under a new domain name. I am using my hard to pronounce name. Lol.

I have to stop here. Meanwhile, I need to gather my thoughts and continue blogging tomorrow.

Bye!

Happy New Year by the way :)

Dear Google

Whoops! You're out of space. You are currently using 100% of your 1 GB quota for photos. Upgrade storage Photos are stored in your Picasa Web Albums account and are included in your 1 GB free quota for photos. Additional storage you purchase is shared between several Google products and is in addition to your free quota. Learn more

Dear Google:

The  above message was bugging me for nearly a month now. I cannot upload my photos. It says that I have to UPGRADE, which means I have to pay so I can have a 5GB storage.

FML.

I have a lot in my head right now. This additional paid storage is the least of all the problems that I have to deal with. Wrong timing dude. Please. Please. Please. All I want is to post my photos and pour my freaking thoughts out.

Love,

Me, who's now holding self from untoward breakdown due to absence of photos which inspires me and helps me express when blogging at this lowest moment of my life.

Surreal

It's been four days since my father was laid to its final resting place.

It's been surreal since Day 1. I still feel like floating. Sleepy and tired. Sad and angry.

I don't understand.

I didn't know how I survived the rest of the days. I kept going and going. Errands after errands. So many things to do. So many tasks to finish.

My body feels like exploding. I wanted to cry and to shout but I can't. It seems like I'm loaded with anesthesia. Numbness all over me.

Right now,  I am physically exhausted. Emotionally drained.

All I want is to sleep.

I survived Day 1

Today is November 18, 2012.

It's 5:39 in the morning. I'm awake. I can't go back to sleep.

My father passed away yesterday.

I didn't know how I survived last night. Closing my eyes to sleep was the hardest part. I can't stop my eyelids from closing yet my mind won't allow it to shut. I can feel my body shaking every time I'm about to pass out.

It was difficult.

Crying was never enough. I surpassed the crying part. Now I want to feel some pain. I want to get away from this numbness all over me.

Today I have a lot of errands to do. Thinking clear and straight is a must.

Tonight, facing my father's remains will be another battle. Sleeping is again a tough fight.

I survived Day 1....

I can do this.

Masskara 2012: A Blogger's Mind

All the photos were taken last year both from the streets and the performance arena at the Bacolod Public Plaza. I got a Blogger's ID, my friend Owen helped me secure one from the Tourism Office.

This year however, I might not get photos from the areas where I wanted to. One needs to join the Photo Contest of a camera club to secure a Photographer's ID unless you represent a Media Outlet for you to have a Media Pass.

This year, I will just be the spectator with a camera in tow, shooting at the street gutter. FML.

Yes. I am disappointed.

What will happen to bloggers and photography hobbyist and enthusiast coming over to the city? Last year I met a lot of them who came all the way from Manila, Cebu, and Iloilo, spent their own money, without airline or hotel sponsors at all. What if they don't want to join the photo contest?

At this age of social media, how can the organizers forget that there are people in this city called Bloggers. How can you not know Bloggers when in fact, searching for 'Masskara Festival' photos online will lead you to various Blogs.

I want to suggest a Bloggers Registration or some sort (if somebody from the organizers read this). I know there are people who claim to be bloggers but do not even have a Blog. Open your doors not only to bloggers from Bacolod but those coming from other places.

I hope it's not too late. A week from the festival highlights, I believe there's still time.

To the Masskara Festival organizers, don't turn your backs to Bloggers and to Photography Hobbyist and Enthusiast.

Sick

I hate getting sick.

I've been feeling ill since Wednesday, must be the crazy rain and heat and rain the past few days. I remember the heavy rain last Monday, I got all wet and just dried up while waiting for Mabe.

This Friday, I was completely ill, hardly out of bed but I managed to buy some medicines for myself (who else will anyway).

While in bed and nothing else to do, I discovered Viki, a free tv Apps with mostly Korean and British shows. Guess what, I finished Boys Over Flowers and My Princess! All in Korean but there's an English translation below.

I feel a bit better now. Tomorrow I want to go back to the gym and continue my work out.

I don't want to get sick again.

Saved thoughts

This was me having breakfast and living a real life, keeping the online life stand by for more than a week now. You just don't know this, but I miss this blog. A couple of friends told me they've been reading the past entries and noticed my absence. (glad to know i have readers somehow, haha)

I decided to post some random thoughts from real life. (saved it in my BlackBerry)

Date: JULY 26, 2012
Time: 7:40am
Location: somewhere in downtown area of bacolod where this popular foodchain got NO WIFI, so i am writing this in my Blackberry. They're playing some cool music, in a way helping lighten up my day.

Few people around me now, which I like. I know this place is chaotic later in the day since this in the center of downtown area. Dangerous if you're not cautious enough.

(A piece of advice: Never talk back to a stranger who bumps into you acting like he knew you but you can't remember him. You'll end up giving him money or some sort)

Anyway, I'll be out of this place in a while, back to my yaya duties. In a place where the yayas and parents hang around. I tell you, that place is as chaotic as this fastfood ALL DAY.

I better go now, NO WIFI here anyway.

Priceless

A good movie...

Sleeping...snooze...alarm...extra five more minutes every morning...

Precious work of arts in my wall...

The comfort of my bed...

PRICELESS.

Cyber and Real. I'm back.

Yes. I am still here, living my life in the real world. It's been a real crazy busy week. JITB left the country last Friday. Mabe and I were trying to get back to our normal routine for a week now.

A lot of things to do like Mabe going back to ballet, she's four weeks behind class trying to keep up. All of her ballet classmates are into pointe shoes class now but Mabe's too young to start the lesson yet. She just turned nine and ideal age for pointe shoes is 10 or 11 years old.

A friend of ours passed away last Friday night due to complications of his illness and was laid to rest Tuesday. His daughter is a good friend of Mabe. Helping his wife in little things like seeing the kid have lunch as she does other errands and stuff was the least we could do.

My internet broke down. Apparently the power adaptor conked out and left us disconnected in the cyberworld. It's like a major meltdown in our house. Lol! I was able to be online in Twitter because of my Blackberry and Globe connection which was not enough because how about Instagram, Viber, Mabe's watching her cartoon series in Youtube, emails, blogs I have to read! haha.

Without internet made me a tv series freak. JITB downloaded some television series for me before he left. I can't believe I finished the whole Season1 of Falling Skies and Homeland.

Anyway, life must go on. I have a PTA meeting to attend at exactly four hours from now, Mabe's ballet class later.

So, bye for now.

Have a great weekend ahead everyone!!

Color Blindness

Color Blindness is a deficiency that affect mostly the male population. It is the inability to see and differentiate certain colors. According to studies, 8% of the male population are color blind.

Someone in our family was diagnosed with this kind of condition.

The irony is, a lot of color blind individuals belong in the field of art or artistically inclined. So, I am not surprised anymore when that 'someone' has it.

The thing is, we don't mind at all because Color Blindness is not a disability.

Have a colorful weekend everyone!!

Just my thoughts

My husband was watching a tv documentary about sacadas the other night, when I came to realize the college dream I had then, on pursuing a career in writing and investigative journalism. “I wonder what happened why you stopped dreaming and pursuing it”, my husband said.

Yeah, what stopped me really…

I answered back, “I saw the real world and how things work and it’s different from what I thought it was. I can’t write about it anymore.”

True.

I saw things from a different perspective. I learned things I cannot speak about. I experienced things I cannot share. This society is not kind to many, but fret not because there is freedom in living and co-existing. You have the opportunity to choose whether to be kind in return or to build a wall to fight the unkind.

Just my thoughts.

Withered

No matter how fresh and radiant things are, there will always be an end, but beauty within is eternal.

Dying but still trying to tell stories.

Withered but still beautiful to me.

Mom-zilla

The past few weeks I was like balletmom-zilla. Mabe's everyday rehearsal has been eating up most of my time. I had a 3-day break when my cousins Alex and Aileen from Australia were here in town for some important business that I had to accompany them, after that I was back as balletmom-zilla.

Finally, the summer ballet activity was over. The dance studio had a cast party at Mambukal today and it was a hit. What a great way to bond with the rest of the kids and fellow balletmoms and stageyayas. Mabe and I had so much fun.

The sight of the Hot Dipping Pool above was in fact inviting. Even if I got tempted to take a plunge, I was keeping an eye on Mabe the whole time so it's a no-no. Mom-zilla here.

One more schedule tomorrow (a costume party) then I'm done with kid activity.

Mom-zilla deserves a foot and back massage.

Good night everyone!

Homecoming

Homecomings. What do you exactly do in homecomings. A lot. A lot of gossips. Lol! It's a joke but actually, there's truth in it.

Some says high school was the best days of their life. Personally, high school was ONE of the best days of my life because I cannot exactly say that it was THE best. My life was more exciting after high school.

At 15, I traveled and explored a different culture from what I grew up in. The summer I turned 16, I was about to enroll in a university my high school friends never heard of. I would watch rock concerts all by myself. Travel alone. Lived a life away from family and the comfort of my own bed.

I went back to the hometown and continued the course I had. Joined the college paper, became an editor, graduated with a special award in journalism. Despite all that, I was a rule breaker, I was not a good student, I live my life the way I wanted. I don't burn candles, I don't aim for A's. I never had a decent notebook. Instead, I buried my face in paperbacks reading fiction, stayed away from normal co-eds who would spend the whole 20minutes in the restroom putting make-ups, while I could hardly comb my hair twice a day.

This afternoon in our high school homecoming, I hardly knew my batchmates. I cannot recognize a classmate in sophomore year or in junior year, aside from the ones whom I became friends with. My memory was so blocked that I sucked in remembering names and faces. My high school memory was blurred, even college was a haze.

I don't think I'm normal, the word normal was never in my vocabulary. I think I'm different.

Homecomings and gossip comes together. I had a gossip juicy life, real homecoming worthy.

Don't you just love homecomings?

I do.

countryside

The following photos made me think of the lyrics in a Jose Mari Chan song (but I want to hear the Lea Salonga version)

Maybe then we could go for a ride
Drive down to the countryside
Get away from the gray
And frenzied hurly-burly of the city life...

However in the photo below, that kind of practice puts everyone in the road in danger. I don't want to discuss Republic Act 9003 here, but sugarcane field burning or whatever is the exact term for that, is very dangerous. I know there are a lot of options in the burning schedule, I hope they listen to the blow of the wind before doing it.

Zero visibility when we passed by that killer smoke. Scary.

Scattered Thoughts

Since last week my schedule was focused in Mabe's summer ballet and contemporary dance classes in Dancepull School of Performing Arts.

I would do my other errands on days without dance classes, and that includes driving lessons. Scared as rat but I'm really trying my best to learn. I'm kind of shy to say this, but my husband gave me a second hand car, an advance birthday present for next week :)

I'm having scattered thoughts right now, first I have a number of books to read but I don't any time and plan to curl up in bed and read. Second, my pre-birthday hang out with my close friends next week is conflict with Mabe's pictorial in the dance studio. Third, driving is primarily in my mind, I don't want anything more . I know these are all petty thoughts. Don't mind me. Lol!

At the back of all this craziness, I have a personal concern I cannot tell you about because this is a happy blog with young readers so Parental Guidance. Maseselang Usapan ay Hindi Maari. Lol!

So that's it. Enjoy your weekend everyone!
