DIY: embellish that wooden clogs...

for Buwan ng Wika (Language Month), an annual school activity in all public and private schools in the Philippines held every month of August.

last year, i embellished mabe's wooden clogs with this fabric flower i personally made. before sending the checkered cloth to the local dressmaker, i managed to cut a small piece for the project.

this year, i am not buying a new costume. the local dressmaker made two skirts out of the fabric i sent so we're using the same ecru organza top and a skirt with a different cut but still the same fabric.

i decided to re-design the embellishment too, using some old buttons, i wrapped them in the same checkered fabric, and here it is:

i know some friends who are mothers like me that makes DIY projects when it comes in school activities like this one. there is no need to purchase expensive stuff, you can do it yourselves.

Goodnight everyone!
