Morning Walk: Day 7

Day 7. 

Thin clouds. Looks like a clear weather weekend.

It's the last day of March. Wow. Time flies so fast! My birthday month comes next, ugh.

Raffia and Abaca Fabrics

Last Sunday I forgot to post this photos of assorted fabrics I took inside Bacolod Central Market. I went there first thing in the morning to buy Raffia fibers for Mabe's grass skirt that needs repair.

There are lots of natural products inside Bacolod Central Market that saves a huge amount in our budget. All you need is courage to take the heat and dust (not to mention the safety of your purses).

I suggest you go and shop there early in the morning, just about the time they open when the whole dimly lit market is still calm and less chaotic, bring loose change, and have a shopping buddy with you. 

Here's what I got, this is what a Raffia fiber looked like. The costume is from three years ago, so the waistline doesn't fit Mabe anymore.

Morning Walk: Day 6

Again, I did not forced them to wear purple, that is their walking uniform. LOL

Day 6.

A little sunshine today, far from yesterday's gloomy and foggy morning.

You might noticed that in some photos, the walking path we're taking are rough roads, that is because this village is a bit barrio-tic (calling the owners of this village). It would be nice if we take the road going to Panaad Park but unfortunately, the newly installed (?) homeowners blocked the shortcut road going there. ppffft.

Anyhoo, since I am a peace-loving person (lol!), I don't want to create conflict so I will stop complaining and just go on with my morning walk. Not good to shut up but...okay, stop.

I am glad that I am loving this routine.

Morning Walk: Day 5

Day 5. Foggy morning. Still gloomy after the heavy rains from the past two days. It rained a bit when I reached home.

Gray Morning

Everything looked gray this morning. Thank God my mood right now is far from grayish. 

Rain seemed eager since last night until this very minute, I wasn't able to do my morning walk.

I wonder how the city looked like. I hope everything is okay.

A rainy morning to all, let's keep ourselves dry :))

Summer Activity here ----> DIY Mask

Yesterday Mabe got herself some art materials to work on, all from National Bookstore.

Since it rained all day, this do-it-yourself mask project was a hit. I just helped her out with the outlines then I'm off to bed for some bedweather nap.

This is a perfect activity if your kid is into art thing, but if not, you'll just spend for materials and get nothing. As parents, it is important to know what our kids wanted and activities that makes them busy this summer and makes them happy.

Talking about spending, art materials are much cheaper in other stores down town if you just know where to hunt.

Total amount spent for materials: Php200.00 (plain mask, water colors, assorted glitters and trimmings, and glue).

Creative freedom: Priceless.

Morning Walk: Day 4

Day 4. I am loving this routine. 

Everyday I am looking forward for the cloud formations, the lights leaking from behind those clouds, the amazing colors. 

I am not thinking about losing weight, it will just follow if I continue doing this. It's the scenery that kept me going in this morning walk.

Its undeniable, the word FUN was written all over the kid's faces. Summer is officially here indeed.

We had a great time swimming with friends today.
