Halloween at McDonald's

This year Mabe and I decided to skip the Trick or Treat organized by the mall. We joined McDonald's Halloween FunDay instead (inside the mall). Less chaos, but still a bit chaotic :)

Little Red Riding Hood enjoyed the painting part, got annoyed with the games, not happy in waiting too long for the food to be served (we paid for a registration and that includes food). For me this was better than the Trick or Treat chaos outside and the Costume Contest that turned into a 'career' to some participants.

After McDonald's, together with my friend Ladybird and her kids we did our own Trick or Treating  inside the mall. Way way better than going with the whole bunch of kids and stage mothers (like us! lol), just don't expect more candies though.

The faces after scoring a treat...priceless!

Happy Halloween everyone :)

Holiday Reads

I am all set for the holidays, going nowhere but the four corners of my room: to curl up in bed and read.

Most of my loot from BookSale were made into movies. I have a tendency to grab this kind of books sometimes, then I'll watch the movie after and disappoint myself. (i guess books made into movies are all like that, a disappointment) though i understand the need for movie makers to shorten the storyline to fit into a 1hour and a half movie but still...it's not the same anymore :(

The greatest find of all the books above was the Lemony Snicket book (hehe). I am a fan of A Series of Unfortunate Events movie, this treasure was priced for Php70.00 only.

How about you, what's keeping you for the long weekend?

What's for dessert?

after two hours of ballet class...the little girl's angry hungry...doesn't want to be photographed. she finished two slices of chicken and some mojos and ate up most of the dessert.

but seriously, am i really visiting this place again?

* i have a free chika in this post: there's a matronic lady beside our table (hmm  around 60-ish) . she's so mean. super mean to the servers. she looked so familiar, i think i saw her in a local cable channel here in bacolod. i hope she won't catch pulmonya in her backless top. forgive me for talking about her in this blog. i just can't swallow rudeness and being so mean to food servers. especially if they are doing well in serving. no need to humiliate them in front of other customers.

Amazing Shoes by Kobi Levi

My cousin La Selle emailed me this photos. Wow. I goggled the shoe line right away.

These are creations of Kobi Levi, a footwear designer based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Asin

The first time for me to see a salt vendor roaming in our barrio-tic village. What a timing, my mother just mentioned she forgot to buy salt at the grocery early this morning.

Goodluck Pajamas

I don't push mabe to study very hard and get an honor. In fact, her grades are fine with me and JITB. She's not an honor student at that, just an average kid. After school, she got a tutorial session with Ms. Helen, a college professor. We thought of having her tutored because of her age (she's 8 years old) and she's in 3rd Grade. Maturity wise, she has to catch up with the 9-year olds in her class.

Mabe was studying early this evening because of the periodical exams. She got some exercises from her tutor to answer at home and she doesn't quite like it. I know...homework doesn't sounds fun to kids.

Later this evening, before going to bed I let her play with some folded paper thingies she did. Then we noticed her pajamas, there's a goodluck word printed on it. haha!

Goodluck to you mabe!
