the trip i had with sue last thursday was one of the scariest of all the travels i had in the past. i don't want to say that 'it seemed that the trip was cursed'...because it makes me scared more...
i cannot give you specific details of the trip, like the location and the reason of the trip, sorry, i need to. don't ask. just read.
here's what sunrise looked like from sue's house...heavenly until we reached the tarmac at the airport when the series of unfortunate events happened.
let's give it a code...like: Series Of Unfortunate Events (SOUE)
SOUE No. 1: forgot to leave something!! and that something is so important...that freakin' something was someone's fault... gets? no? okay lg. let's continue..
SOUE No. 2: had to find a post office amidst the place we don't know about..plus the fact that i'm hungry already :((
after the second SOUE, time to check in..
the interior of the hotel was done by tessa prieto-valdez, i like it but not our (sue and i) kind of design. we're muji kind of people.
front desk lady...liked her hat!
sue had this thing about elevators...uhmmm she wanted to use the stairs, so i'm like 'whaaatt'!?
my breakfast plate..
sue's plate...
i looked up the ceiling again...
SOUE No. 3: time to go home...we reached the airport an hour and a half before boarding, so perfect right?...but it turned out far from perfection..our ticket was dated the next day..ugh!! what the...but thanks to the accommodating airline people, we made some arrangements, so we were able to book ourselves a seat.
SOUE No. 4: how i wish our plane was a big as this, you know why? because that damn plane we took was the worst plane!! sue and i were holding our hands, praying, sue talking to me distracting my scared thoughts...i was never the panicky type but the flight was different, the weather was good, no typhoon, no rain even...and yet it was soooo bad. when the sudden turbulence shaked our plane, i said 'oh my, what's that?!!' (yeah, ingols..lol!)
SOUE No. 5: as we descend for landing, i already have a feeling that landing will be bad, so i was peeking at the window so i can have a view of the runway, because i want to breathe out when it touches the ground..that's my way of coping with bad landings. sue was talking to me and i can't just talk to her back because i knew landing's going to be bad..and it was more than bad..it was a painful landing...my heart was in my throat, the crepe i ate before the flight almost went out of my nose.
but despite the series of unfortunate events, we were able to accomplish our task, no question about it.
there's one more good thing that the trip gave us, it was the time we had..the bonding, the laughs, the tears...i'm glad to experience all that with you sue!!
good night!
