for a mother like me, i am keen on how Barbie evolved from a simple adult-figured fashion doll to an icon in the toy world. i grew up playing dress up with Barbie. now my 8-year old daughter adored and follow Barbie like a loyal minion. blame it to www.barbie.com where kids these days get the Barbie updates, from the new Barbie doll coming up to the latest Barbie game and of course, the release date of the new Barbie Movie.

sometimes i wonder, why do you have to be a fairy Barbie?
or why do you have to be so ambitious and become a princess?
why do you have to be such a complicated woman and have so many careers?
why do you have to change clothes in just one twist?
duh, you're 50 years old you know...make your life easy.
i loved you when you were just plain Barbie, and cheaper in my pocket.
